Hidden Faces, Brighter Futures Charity Gala

What is it?

Hidden Faces, Brighter Futures is a masquerade-themed charity Gala located at River Oaks Country Club. Guests will hear anecdotes from critically acclaimed teachers, live music from a country band, and experience a silent auction of donated items while wearing masks that add an air of mystery and celebration.

How does it work?

At the Gala, guests can purchase tickets or tables to attend the evening, with proceeds going directly to supporting teachers’ classroom needs. Throughout the night, guests enjoy dinner, live entertainment, and dancing while participating in fundraising activities such as silent auctions, raffles, or live pledges.

How can I help?

Guests can help by purchasing tickets to attend, bidding generously in silent or live auctions, and making direct donations during the evening. Businesses and individuals can also sponsor the event, donate auction items, or contribute funds that go directly toward providing teachers with classroom supplies and resources. Every contribution—whether financial support or participation—helps ensure students have brighter futures through better-equipped learning environments.

The Cause Explained

At the Hidden Faces, Brighter Futures Gala, every dollar raised helps Houston teachers in disadvantaged schools give their students the tools they need to succeed. Too often, teachers are forced to spend hundreds of dollars out of their own pockets just to stock their classrooms with basic supplies, let alone resources like books, technology, or hands-on learning materials that truly spark curiosity. Through DonorsChoose, the funds from this gala will be distributed directly to local classrooms, ensuring teachers don’t have to shoulder that financial burden alone.

“I’ve always had to buy supplies to enrich our curriculum… I do anything and everything to stretch the dollar as far as I can.”
